TERMS AND CONDITIONS
When submitting your details to our website or when attending the Datein singles events, you implicitly accept our Terms & Conditions and you warrant that you have full authority to do so. Furthermore, you warrant that you are 21 years or above. You understand that Datein singles events are for singles and that it is understood by your registration and participation at events that you are single. If your status has changed, we are happy and we would like to kindly ask you to cancel your registration in order to keep the community of singles only.
DATEIN EVENTS AND PARTICIPANTS
Datein’s aim is to organise events in a relaxed way and safe environment for singles to meet. It is expected that people attending our events are of a good character and that information they provided to us is accurate. We verify the information but do not carry out any background checks. Please be cautious and employ you best common sense when it comes to sharing personal information while meeting people for the first time.
Datein goal is a minimum of 5 potential dates per event. Should people pull out at the last minute or don’t show up then the number of dates will be less. We, as an organiser, will do our best to ensure attendance by contacting invited participants to confirm and remind to attend the events, but their real attendance is out of our control. Datein or its associates are not held responsible in the event of distress or damages incurred by attending an event, inclusive of any damages or distress originating from communication among events participants.
Datein holds events at a variety of venues which are independently owned and controlled. Therefore, Datein will not be held liable for any damages, harm, loss nor for any inconvenience in case the venue need to be changed. Participants will be kept informed about any possible changes that might incur.
When you register at www.datein.com.my and attend an event, you know and accept that while you will meet new people, successful matches are not guaranteed and nor are the outcomes of any subsequent dates between participants.
On rare occasions, media may be present at events. By participating in Datein events you implicitly accept that media may publish photographs or images of you, but your identity will be not revealed. The purpose of this is for marketing and publicity of Datein singles events.
Datein sends email newsletters to members and periodically sends emails about new services, special offers, scheduled service interruptions, etc. Our members can opt-out of receiving communications from us by unsubscribing from our mailing list. To do so, simply send us an email or opt-out on the newsletter.
If you wish to make a complaint regarding the services provided by Datein please contact the organiser on contact details available on www.datein.com.my.
If you are unable to attend an event and inform the organiser 5 days prior the scheduled date, you will be fully refunded or alternatively, you can use the payment to join another future event.
You may also reassign your booking to another person of the same gender however, we will verify your replacement the same way we did with you. In such case, you shall notify Datein minimum 1 day prior the event. If you are unable to arrange a replacement or if a transfer request is made with less than 5 full days notice prior the event date, regrettably there will be NO refund for the event booked and your booking will be made void. POSTPONEMENT OR CANCELATION OF THE EVENT
From time to time, it may be necessary to change the location, date or time of an event. Furthermore, cancellation may be necessary for reasons which are beyond organiser’s control and for which can not be found a solution within a reasonable time and conditions.
We recognise that our guests look forward to attending our events and that postponing or cancelling an event can be disappointing. Rest assured that we make every effort to ensure that all events proceed as planned and only postpone or cancel an event when we are confident that the experience for our guests would not be up to the high standards. In case of cancellation of an event, the customer has the right for a full payment refund or alternatively the right for a priority reservation of another future event. The payment is returned in the nominal value in which it was credited to the account. The customer is not entitled to a refund on discounts or special promotions that could have been applied to the cancelled event.
CONFIDENTIALITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND PRIVACY STATEMENT
Datein does require that upon registering with us, you will provide us details as requested in the registration form. The purpose of us obtaining this information is to ensure further communication among us as an organiser and you as a potential participant of speed dating events and also communication between “mutually matched” participants. Your contact details will be also included in Datein direct marketing database. Your details from registration form are not published. No communication and online contact will be made possible among our members. Organiser reserves the right to disapprove and delete Facebook or other social media comments in case they are found inappropriate or breaching our rules. The only way to get contact of another participant is during speed dating events in case both of you indicate a mutual match.
Datein respects your privacy and is careful when storing your personal information in a database on a secure server. None of your information is divulged without your consent unless the law requires that we do so. Your contacts are safe with us and will not be sold to any other company.
When you take part in Datein singles event, you implicitly permit us to provide your contact to any “mutual match” (i.e. a person who you have indicated you would like further contact with and who has indicated the same interest towards yourself). We will reveal your name, email and phone number of both persons which indicated “mutual match” to each other without your implicit permission as it is understood you accepted this condition as a part of attending our events. If the match comes only from one participant, but not the other, details will not be revealed. Should you wish to make any changes in your indication after the event, you must contact us at the earliest time possible. However, we as an organiser reserve the right not to accept your wish to change, especially when a match information has been already sent out to participants.
CODE OF CONDUCT DURING THE EVENT
Participants are obligated to treat all other participants with respect, adhere to the ethical code of conduct, and not to use abusive, offensive or profane language. Further, it is prohibited to make sexual advances. During the speed dating event, participants are strictly prohibited to use any photographic, video or audio recording devices. We keep the privacy of our clients at the highest level of importance!
Participants should not ask for the contact details of other participants during the event itself. One of the purposes of such events is to ensure that our participants will not be exposed to an unpleasant situation to directly refuse someone if they do not feel like meeting them again. Kindly leave this part of the arrangement to organisers.
Datein is an event organiser. We arrange a meet and greet events in a fun and safe environment. We do not guarantee that participants at our events have been honest regarding their marital status. Neither do we guarantee that participants are of a sound character. It is up to the individual to make judgements and clarify information about other participants. We also do not guarantee mutual matches. It might happen that there will be many or no matches for you after the event, we only guarantee to deliver you the correct information. If you have not indicated interest to meet any other participant of one event for a private date, we guarantee you can join us for another future event for free. Datein is not to be held liable for any loss or damage, injury or harm that has arisen when encountering any participant at or subsequent to a Datein event.
